Butterflies in my garden
Butterflies in my mind
Everywhere you look for them
Butterflies you'll surely find
Very colourful with different patterns
Each, a beauty of it's kind
Garden's beautiful daylight lanterns
Vying for a corner of the mind
Flower to flower, they seem to flutter
As wings open and shut
"Que sera" to "All is well", they mutter
As thaughts rarely stay put
Wing span is big, life span is short
And yet life's merriment goes
The butterfly in my mind retorts
Make friends always, not foes
Flowers may fall and plants may whither
And new ones will grow galore
Butterflies in my mind's garden
Will always flutter for all
